The Faculty of Science is looking for pro-active and self-motivated individuals to join our Taught Programmes support team. We currently have two vacancies:
You will play a vital role in providing administrative support for a number of our taught programmes, ensuring their smooth and efficient operation.
We care about student and staff well-being, excellent service and University reputation. Trust, care and work-life balance are part of our core values, resulting in commitment to our roles and each other’s welfare.
If this approach resonates with you and you are a good team player who also enjoys working independently and taking initiative, we would welcome an application from you.
You should have previous experience of working in a busy office environment in an administrative role. Attention to detail is very important, as is the ability to manage a busy workload with conflicting priorities. You will need to work closely with other team members, academic colleagues and students from across the world, so effective communication skills are essential. You will be an excellent team player with a high degree of flexibility, able to work on own initiative and a quick learner. You should have good computer skills, with a proficiency in Word and Excel and the ability to learn use of database systems.
Skills in the use of University specific software (Moodle, SAMIS/SITS and Business Objects) are desirable though not essential. Most important is an interest in our work and a willingness to become fully involved in the life of the Faculty and its departments.
